Zhejiang Luyuan Vehicle, one of the automotive manufacturers in China, has officially entered the Indonesian market in an effort to expand its presence in the electric motor market. They have established a partnership with PT Davigo Artha Luas to strengthen their position in marketing environmentally friendly vehicles.

This partnership was marked by the signing of a letter of agreement that took place at the INAPA 2023 event, which was held at JIEXpo Kemayoran on Wednesday (5/24/2023). Through this agreement, Davigo will become the brand holder agent (APM) and have the exclusive right to distribute electric motors from Luyuan in the Indonesian market.

Daniel Yu, International Marketing Director of Zhejiang Luyuan Electric Vehicle expressed his excitement that after 26 years the company could finally enter the electric motorcycle market in Indonesia. Together with its business partner, Davigo, Luyuan is ready to provide quality products to consumers.

“This year is the 10th anniversary of the motorcycle exhibition in Indonesia, as well as the 26th anniversary of Luyuan Electric Vehicle. We still remember how China used to be a pioneer of two-wheeled electric vehicles, accompanying the two-wheeled electric vehicle industry around the world through various challenges over the past 26 years,” said Daniel Yu in Jakarta, Wednesday

Luyuan and Davigo collaborated to present products that are highly demanded by consumers in China to Indonesian consumers. In this event, Luyuan showed the advantages of its two flagship electric motorcycles, MTB-R and MKK2.

“We are proud to be present in this beautiful country, Indonesia, with our partner Davigo, joining forces with local Indonesian companies, and bringing reliable products to support greening efforts, ease of use, lightweight mobility, and at a more affordable cost,” he said.

The MTB-R electric bike comes with a 72V50Ah lithium battery and a 3000 watt motor. It offers powerful performance and is suitable for adventures on challenging terrain. Meanwhile, the MKK2 type uses a graphene battery with a capacity of 72V23Ah and is powered by a 1000-watt motor.

This electric motor offers reliable and efficient performance for daily needs. Davigo CEO Aryo Tejo Handoko said that this cooperation is not only limited to marketing, but also involves technology exchange.

Davigo’s choice to cooperate with Luyuan is based on Luyuan’s reputation as a leader in electric motor technology in China and as one of the leading manufacturers in the industry.

“Luyuan is a well-known company in China in electric motor production, having a number of patents on the latest technologies. He hopes these technologies will become a significant advantage and provide more convenience for consumers. With this collaboration, we hope to bring superior products and innovative technology to meet consumer needs,” said Aryo.

It should be noted that Luyuan has been one of the pioneers in the electric motor industry in China since its establishment on July 3, 1997. Currently, Luyuan has developed five manufacturing business units that focus on producing quality electric motorcycles.
